The incumbent is responsible to review project plans and specifications and prepare proposals for ventilation equipment (grill, diffuser, fire damper, control dampers, louvers, and fans) that meet clients’ needs. Additionally, it will conduct sales of HVAC parts, equipment, and supplies over the phone and will be required, occasionally, to perform site visits. Also, it will provide after-sale technical support to clients, whom are mechanical contractors and engineering firms.
Review and evaluate technical design and quotations;Determine ventilation equipment (grill, diffuser, and fire damper counts, multiple style fan selections) required to meet clients’ needs;Prepare estimates based on project specifications and complete proposals;Prepare technical drawings for clients’ approval;Answer calls from clients and Outside Sales Representatives;Ensure projects take offs are done accurately and within specified deadlines;Manage projects and work with mechanical contractors and engineers;Inform clients on standard procedures;Follow up with clients to ensure their full satisfaction, either verbally or in writing;Determine the best method to resolve problems to ensure customer satisfaction and company adherence to policies;Respond to customers’ inquiries, questions, or complaints regarding products or services.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in retail sales or technical related field• Experience in HVAC design to demonstrate proposals and discuss with clients• Some familiarity with ASHRAE Standards and the National Building Code of Canada.• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)• High level of commitment to exceptional customer service.• Ability to manage priorities & schedule• Good organization skills• Initiative & resourcefulness• Problem solver and creative thinker.• Excellent attention to details and follow-up skills• Excellent communication skills• Excellent problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills• Ability to work with all levels of management (Directors, internal & external sales, etc.)Team player
