Under the supervision of the National Transportation Manager, the incumbent will have to support sales and distribution center teams on all aspect related to transport of Western Canada.

Principal tasks:

▪ Support internal and external customers (branches, carriers, distribution centers) by answering all questions related to transport
▪ Work in collaboration with the distribution center operation team to ensure that all deliveries are made on time
▪ Prepare transportation quotes
▪ Respond to phones or emails from internal or external customers, within a short time frame
▪ Ensure that daily transport operations run smoothly
▪ Suggest and implement working methods that can allow optimization and better transportation operation
▪ Solves transportation issues directly with carriers

Requirements:

▪ MS Office
▪ Knowledge of a management system (ERP, WMS, TMS) is an important asset
▪ 5 to 10 years of experience in the transport industry
▪ Capability to work under pressure
▪ Demonstrate leadership and rigor at work
▪ Ability to multitasks in an organized manner
▪ Capability of working with colleagues of all levels of management within the company
▪ Good judgment when making decision
