Under the supervision of the Assistant Director – Human Resources Business Partnership, the incumbent will be responsible support the Human Resources Strategy to drive our high-performance culture. As a partner to their assigned business units, the successful candidate will:

Principal tasks:

• Lead the implementation and deployment of the HR strategy and process by striving for better practices and focusing on continuous improvement, driving a high-performance culture
• Support, influence, guide, or coach people leaders while building positive and strong relationships, and high credibility, understanding that strong leaders improve the employee experience
• Collaborate, co-design, and build synergy with HR Centres of Expertise (COE) and Payroll to support our stakeholders
• Develop and maintain strong business acumen to ensure that our HR strategy continues to be well aligned to help drive the business forward, leveraging our deep knowledge of the business to communicate with the rest of the HR team as the needs of the business changes
• Participate in the development of the HR Strategic Plan specific to achieving the optimal Employee Experience
• Develop and implement targeted organizational effectiveness strategies to support company’s vision and strategies that drive performance. These strategies will include high-level, complex projects focused on performance Management, development strategy design, plans and execution

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or Industrial Relations, combined with 7-10 years of relevant experience in a generalist role
• Direct experience working as an HR Business Partner is an asset
• Human Resources Professional Certification and active membership in the CHRA is an asset
• Must be fluent in both French and English
• Knowledge of and the ability to carry out projects including the process of planning, organizing, and managing tasks and resources to accomplish a well-defined objective
• Knowledge of provincial employment legislation, comprehensive knowledge of human resource practices and policies, particularly in the areas of employment law
• Comfortable working in an ambiguous environment
• Strong aptitude for technology applications (or something to this effect)
• Mentoring and coaching skills with a mature outlook to problem solving
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism
• Ability to work proactively and positively as part of a team acting with a sense of urgency
• Strong priority management and organizational skills
• Ability to analyze and strong judgment
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel occasionally
