Under the supervision of the credit director, the national assistant director of credit and collections works closely with supervisors and agents to track accounts receivable.

Principal tasks:

CREDIT
- Analyzing and approving a line of credit and payment period up to a determined amount for new customers and a review of the line based on operational needs for existing customers
- Approving projects for all territories up to a specified amount
- Directing applications outside his or her responsibility to the credit director for evaluation
- Analyzing financial statements for discussion with the credit manager
- Managing day-to-day situations outside of credit policy beyond supervisors’ area of expertise

COLLECTION
- Proactively submitting at-risk accounts receivable to the credit manager for decision-making
- Attending monthly credit meetings held by agents
- Preparing monthly meetings for the credit manager: problematic cases by region, cash flow, recommendation of payment plans, risk management
- Maintaining good communication with customers and external, internal, and branch sales

INTERPERSONAL RELATIONS
- Conducting hiring interviews for new employees
- Supporting credit supervisors in personnel management
- Resolving second-level conflicts
- Maintaining the team’s positive working environment

Requirements:

- 5 years of experience in business credit and personnel management
- Experience in the construction field
- CCP designation or bachelor’s degree in Business Administration
- Occasional travel between regions
