Reporting to the Regional Director, the Outside Sales Representative – Engineering Sales will be responsible for representing the company to assigned engineers and customers. They will provide pre-sales support and must respond, in collaboration with the other members of the department, to the requirements of the consultants or engineers with the objective of increasing engineering specifications. The incumbent will be responsible for developing and leveraging the Master value proposition, based on knowledge of customer challenges and business objectives. They are responsible to find, qualify and onboard new accounts through various methods of outbound prospecting.
• Develop and implement strategies to maintain and grow engineering specification business from assigned and new engineer accounts to achieve company sales goals• Manage all sales aspects of the assigned engineering accounts• Initiate outbound prospecting activities to attain new engineering accounts• Provide equipment selection and supporting documentation for consultant engineers• Preparation of budgets to engineers• Preparing product equivalence tables• Participate in marketing programs (ie. facilitate product presentations)• Develop and maintain strong stakeholder partnerships within the assigned region• Contribute to weekly sales meetings and provide feedback on competitive information• Input and maintain customer information in CRM database• Participate in trade associations (ie. ASHRAE)
• Post Secondary education in HVAC or a related discipline• 3 to 5 years of commercial sales experience in HVAC/R products and industry• Advance knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Excel)• Comfortable working with ERP software• Willingness to acquire industry knowledge• Completion of sales related training programs (an asset)• Must have a valid driver’s license and willing to travel 50 %for customer visits• Completion of sales related training programs (an asset)• Proficiency in CRM software (an asset)
