The inventory control agent acts as a resource person for our various branches to explain inventory discrepancies. To that end, he or she processes and checks the accuracy of various inventory and sales reports, actively participates in the inventory counts of our various points of sale and handles the training and supervision of stakeholders in maintaining a precise control of their inventories.

Principal tasks:

Inventory Management
• Support assign branches for inventory control and manage cycle counts on a daily basis
• Prepare, supervise and control branches’ physical inventory count
• Conduct the research needed to explain discrepancies
• Ensure accuracy between computer data and manual item counts in branches
• Check our branches’ and distribution centres’ SO, WT, non-stock inventory and direct inventory reports
• Perform the data entry needed for inventory adjustments and reconciliation
• Take the steps needed to ensure the monitoring and compliance with internal controls and company policies

User Support
• Answer all branch questions about inventories on a daily basis
• Provide training to branch employees on internal controls and procedures

Requirements:

• College diploma or equivalent
• Certification in accounting, inventory management/ supply chain management is an asset
• Three years of experience in a similar role
• Experience and comfort with the MS Office Suite
• Experience in customer service is an asset.

• Organized and has strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Demonstrate sense of initiative and resourcefulness
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Service oriented with strong customer service skills
• Ability to make sound decisions and communicate any non-routine decisions to immediate supervisor
• Hold a valid driver’s license
• Be available to travel occasionally throughout Canada
