The payroll technician will be responsible for maintaining administrative information for payroll production and will act as a resource person for employees. He/she will provide administrative support to payroll specialists.

What you will accomplish with us:

Participate in the preparation, production and verification of payroll for approximately 1300 employees (calculation of leave, vacation, records of employment, overtime, deductions, etc.);

Manage the payroll mailbox and respond to employee requests;

Follow-up on timesheet approvals with managers.

Ensure the processing and accuracy of changes made to employee files in the payroll software (compensation, benefits, etc.).

Carry out year-end activities related to the production and verification of T4s and Relevé 1s;

Collaborate on continuous improvement projects, optimization of payroll processes and practices, and other special projects;

Support payroll specialists in administrative tasks;

Perform all related tasks to ensure continuity of service.

What You Bring to Our Team:

College diploma (DEC) in administration, or equivalent combined with a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a similar position;

Member of the National Payroll Institute;

Good knowledge of payroll and labor standards, tax laws and all relevant government regulations;

Bilingualism (French and English);

Intermediate Excel level;

High level of accuracy, attention to detail;

Discretion, tact and autonomy;

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage priorities.

Compensation Information:
Base Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000 annually
Supplemental Pay Types Include: overtime pay; annual bonus
