The project manager will be responsible for bidding on assigned projects and supporting the project management team once projects are sold. Additionally, he/she will provide customer support and assistance to other team members.
• Analyze plans, specifications, and various bid invitations• Survey products to be bid on in the plans• Evaluate the technical content of plans and specifications, ensuring proposed products meet specified requirements• Select products using manufacturer pricing software• Ensure that the products bid on meet the requirements of plans and specifications issued by professionals• Prepare bids to be sent to contractors• Actively participate in meetings to establish strategies for closing key projects• Follow the project through to bid submission, checking for addenda and ensuring the closing date and time are adhered to• Provide technical support to clients and the sales team• Support all stakeholders on the project team (project manager, external representative, supervisor, etc.)• Develop and maintain a network of contacts in the contractual chain related to our HVAC-R field• Participate in various company "marketing" activities
• 2-3 years of relevant experience in the HVAC-R industry ;• Specialized studies in building mechanics (DEC in building mechanics or BEng in mechanical/building/construction engineering) ;• Knowledge of MS Office software ;• General knowledge in building mechanics;•Proficiency in English and French (or willingness to learn) (frequent interactions in English with Master employees and suppliers based in our offices in Ontario, Western Canada and Maritimes, and interactions in French with suppliers and employees in our local offices in Montreal and Ottawa).
