Reporting to the Director of Data Governance & Analytics, the Data Visualization Designer plays a key role in the optimization and exploitation of the company's data. The candidate will be responsible for transforming complex data sets into attractive, easy-to-understand visual representations.He/she will collaborate with various teams to translate business needs into high-performance visualization solutions, and ensure the availability and reliability of reports. In addition, he/she will be an agent of change, promoting best practices in BI.
Design, improve, and maintain reports and dashboards from structured data sources to support decision making;Develop an excellent understanding of the organization's data models to design and improve metrics from structured and validated models;Collaborate with data analysts and business teams to understand data requirements and propose appropriate solutions;Promote and apply BI best practices, including data governance and security policies;Support users and stakeholders by ensuring efficient and secure access to reports and dashboards;Document user requirements for reports and dashboards to ensure their accessibility and smooth operation (Jira);Support the adoption of BI tools and the transformation to a data-driven decision-making culture.
Professional, college or university degree in a data processing discipline;3 to 5 years' experience in BI, including data warehouse design and ETL pipeline management;Knowledge of SQL language (queries, views, stored procedures);Experience with ETL tools such as SSIS and/or Azure Data Factory;Good knowledge of business intelligence concepts and data modeling techniques;Experience in a Microsoft BI environment (SQL Server, Azure);Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong critical mind to translate business needs into BI solutions;Intellectual curiosity about BI trends and developments;Bilingualism (French / English) - Need to interact regularly with our internal Master Group collaborators across the country. After evaluation, it has been determined that no other solution can meet these professional obligations.Experience with a data visualization tool (Power BI, Tableau) (asset).Compensation information:Base salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per yearTypes of additional compensation: annual bonus
