Commercial law holds no secrets for you, whether it's construction contracts, infrastructure, procurement, calls for tender, etc., and you're looking for a diversified role? Reporting to the Vice-President, Legal Affairs and Corporate Secretary, in this newly created position you will work on a wide range of legal issues.

If you stand out for your proactivity, sharp judgment and resourcefulness, can manage priorities well and are known for your business acumen, we'd like to talk to you.

What you will accomplish with us:

- You will act on complex commercial contracts, leases and agreements related to our business activities, as well as all relevant legal documentation in the course of managing the company's business;

- You will provide thought leadership, strategic consultation and innovative solutions to management and other internal stakeholders on current, potential and future legal risks and regulatory issues, and implement effective risk management techniques;

- You will be called upon to take the helm of internal projects and provide occasional training to teams on various topics affecting Master's operations;

- You will support the continuous improvement of standard contracts and legal processes, focusing on efficiency and simplifications;

- You will actively participate in the due diligence process for acquisitions.

What You Bring to Our Team:

- You have been a member of the Quebec Bar for 8 to 10 years; membership in another bar is an asset.

- Experience in construction law or infrastructure is preferred. Experience in commercial real estate is an asset.

- You have strong negotiation, writing and communication skills, and are able to persuade.

- Ability to build business relationships and play a strategic advisory role focused on practical, value-added solutions.

- Collaborative leadership skills.

- Fluency in English and French (or willingness to learn) (frequent interactions in English with suppliers and Master employees based in our Ontario, Western Canada and Maritimes offices, and interactions in French with suppliers and employees in our local Montreal and Ottawa offices).
