We are seeking a results-driven Outside Sales Representative to join our Business Solutions team, based out of our Victoria branch. This role is responsible for promoting and selling HVAC equipment and solutions to mechanical contractors and supporting consulting engineers across Vancouver Island.The ideal candidate will combine strong technical knowledge with outstanding interpersonal and problem-solving skills to support clients from early-stage design consultation through to equipment selection and post-sale support. - Develop and manage relationships with mechanical contractors to promote HVAC products and solutions. - Support engineering firms by assisting with product selection and application during the design and specification phases. - Analyze customer needs and recommend appropriate HVAC equipment aligned with project requirements. - Deliver engaging technical presentations and product demonstrations to clients and consultants. - Provide guidance on system operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. - Assist with proposals, negotiate pricing and terms, and close sales agreements. - Conduct site visits to support application review, installation, or issue resolution. - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, competitive offerings, and regional opportunities. - Log all sales activities, interactions, and opportunities in CRM tools. - Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and client meetings. - Participate in ongoing technical training and product knowledge sessions.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC technical sales, engineering, estimation, or technical support. - Proven background working with commercial, ventilation, or industrial HVAC equipment. - Demonstrated ability to support both contractors and engineering consultants. - Highly self-motivated and capable of working independently or within a team. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present technical content clearly and persuasively. - Effective problem-solving, decision-making, and time management abilities. - Comfortable speaking publicly in both technical and sales-oriented settings. - Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail and customer empathy. - Practical, hands-on understanding of HVAC system design and application. Compensation Information:Base Salary Range: $100,000 - $125,000 annuallySupplemental Pay Types May Include: Commission & Annual bonusThe final salary will be determined based on the candidate’s skills and experience, in compliance with applicable regulations.
